Meet the Vicuña Chocolate Team & A little bit about us

Vicuna Chocolate and Cafe was opened in 2014 by Neely Cohen after an inspiring trip to South America, where she learned the traditional method of chocolate production. In 2017, Nate Morison and Casey Goodrich took a leap of faith and acquired Vicuña, at only 17 years old. Since then, Vicuña has evolved immensely with the addition of specialty coffee and baked goods. Our commitment to ethically sound and quality products has only grown since our conception, so come visit us to learn more!

Nate Morison

General Manager

Nate is a budding entrepreneur from Peterborough who bought VIcuña in 2017 in pursuit of two of his greatest interests: specialty foods and sales & marketing. Since then, Nate and team have expanded hours and offerings of our store and launched an online sales channel. When not working, Nate can be found at the beach, cooking meals at home, and on the ski mountain.

Dan Friel

Cafe Manager

Dan Friel joined Vicuna in February, 2019, after training in two of the most renowned specialty coffee companies in NH, where she realized third wave coffee was her passion. Dan is responsible for hand crafting our delicious cafe beverages, curating our menu, managing our social media, and coordinating our events. A caffeine fanatic, an artist, and a hospitality pro, Dan works to create the best possible experience in the cafe. She strongly believes in supporting local artists for the good of community, and hopes to further emphasize our sustainable and ethical philosophy. Caitlin Wilder

Production Manager

Cat Wilder is the Production Manager and Chocolatier at Vicuña. She started working at Vicuña in September 2016, training with former owner and creator of Vicuña, Neely Cohen. Cat is responsible for all the delicious baked goods in the café, as well as preparing some of the drinks, including the sipping chocolate. She makes all of our chocolate, with close attention to detail. From sorting the cocoa beans, to molding and wrapping each bar with care, she loves the process of creating chocolate. She is currently working on adding new flavors of bars, and creations like peanut butter cups and bon bon's to the Vicuña inventory.
